The UK’s flagship vegan event returns for its 7th year!
Vegfest will include around 370 stalls including many new vegan brands, 20 featured areas and around 150 speakers all under one roof at Olympia West & Central Levels 1, 2 and 3.
The 2018 event attracted around 280 exhibitors, around 150 speakers and around 14,000 attendees over 2 days. With the sharp rise of interest in vegan lifestyles in recent years, expect another blockbuster show at this year’s event.
The Health Section talks are organised by plant-based health professionals UK and will feature members of the team and other vegan health experts.

Confirmed keynote speakers include Dr Neal Barnard and Dr Michael Klaper. Several PBHP team members will also be speaking. Further programme details will be added early 2019. This is sure to be an educational and entertaining afternoon featuring pioneers in the field of plant-based nutrition. Come and hear the latest in nutrition science and discover how a whole food plant-based diet can improve health and well-being. Dr Kim Williams, former President of the American College of Cardiology will discuss controversies around saturated fat, sugar and animal protein consumption. The Happy Pear will share their expertise on how to bring healthy plant-based cooking to a mass audience. There will be a panel discussion featuring Dr Kim Williams, The Happy Pear, BOSH! and members of the Plant-Based Health Professionals UK team on whether a plant-based diet can save modern civilisation?

This is the first Canadian conference on Plant-Based Nutrition and Health, showcasing Canadian expertise. The conference is brought to you by the Canadian Academy of Lifestyle Medicine (CALM) and Plant-Based Health Professionals UK, and endorsed by the Plantrician Project. The conference will provide evidence-based education in the field of plant-based nutrition for prevention and treatment of chronic disease. The conference is aimed at health professionals, both medical and allied medical professionals, and members of the public. The topics covered include the role of nutrition in obesity and diabetes, cardiac health, cancer, and mental health. We will bust some commonly held myths of a plant-based diet, discuss the global impact of our food choices and much more. Our keynote speech will be delivered by the amazing Dr. David Jenkins, Professor, and Canada Research Chair, in the Departments of Nutritional Sciences and Medicines, the Director of the Clinical Nutrition and Risk Factor Modification Center, and a Scientist in the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute, St. Michael’s Hospital. He has spent his career researching nutrition and health, and is well known for introducing the concept of the Glycemic Index of foods.

This conference is aimed at healthcare professionals but members of the general public are also welcome.
Location Engine Rooms at Birchwood Park. Topics to be covered include gluten sensitivity, bone health, obesity and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and much much more. Our special guest lecture is from Fiona Oakes, record breaking ultra-marathon runner and vegan since the age of 6 years.
The day is accredited for 6 CPD hours by the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine and the Royal College of Physicians.
