Description:  Research shows a plant-based diet doesn’t just prevent heart disease, but it can manage and sometimes even reverse it. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death around the world. Eating habits and other lifestyle factors play a key role in determining the risk of heart disease. This class features a video, a discussion, and a cooking demonstration showcasing three delicious plant-based dishes. It provides an excellent overview of plant-based foods for a healthy heart.

More about me: I trained and worked as a dietitian in Canada, but I currently spend most of my time in Istanbul, Turkey where I now run my own, small private practice ( I became a Food for Life instructor in 2019 and have since delivered many programs both online & in-person.

Each Food for Life class includes:

  • Specific information about how certain foods and nutrients work to promote or discourage disease
  • Cooking demonstrations of delicious and healthful recipes
  • Practical cooking skills and tips for incorporating healthful eating habits into daily life
  • A supportive and motivational atmosphere to empower participants to take charge of their health with the foods that are put on their plates
