British Society of Lifestyle Medicine
BSLM is a multidisciplinary society aiming to prevent, improve, manage and treat lifestyle-related conditions. BSLM aims to establish Lifestyle Medicine as central to health and wellbeing by promoting the prevention of avoidable lifestyle-related diseases, by advocating treatment of diseases of the 21st century with a realistic approach and by influencing healthcare and health policy. Raising awareness of Lifestyle Medicine principles and providing leadership, education and support for healthcare practitioners is a primary objective. We acknowledge there are social and environmental determinants of disease which should be addressed at national and international level. BSLM wishes to play its part. We are delighted to be part of the global movement of Lifestyle Medicine.
BSLM members include GPs and medical specialists, allied health practitioners, public health physicians, educators, and researchers. We advocate for a multidisciplinary, multi-system approach to the chronic disease problem and we provide education, training and support for members in their practice of Lifestyle Medicine.

I wish it had existed when I was diagnosed with cancer; I was fifty years old (5-zero), only half-way to my own Double-zero. Pressured into making quick decisions, I set about researching my options. Much of the information I found was conflicting, irrelevant and confusing.

Ethical Globe is a directory and community of vegan people, businesses, organisations and projects that launched in 2020. We founded Ethical Globe after realising that there was little support for the vegan community. In particular, vegans who also wish to make other ethically conscious decisions.
Ethical Globe aims to provide information and support to the growing vegan population. It will empower people to live in alignment with their values by helping them with their everyday choices. This will contribute to creating a fairer world for all.
Ethical Globe will provide a platform for communities to build and to unite. In time, it will help create a worldwide network of like-minded people, projects and businesses who care about justice for all. Justice for humans, justice for other animals and justice for the planet.
European Alliance for Plant-based Foods
The European Alliance for Plant-based Foods (EAPF) brings together like-minded organisations in the plant-based value chain around a unique mission: To put plant-based foods at the heart of the transition towards more sustainable and healthy food systems.
More people are turning to plant-based foods – products made from vegetables, grains, pulses (including soy), nuts, fungi, algae – out of concerns for climate change, biodiversity loss, human health or animal welfare. The Alliance strives for making this shift a reality, allowing consumers to access true, safe and sustainable alternatives to animal-based products.
The Alliance represents the entire plant-based value chain: Food producers and manufacturers, NGOs, nutritionists, research & academia and consumers.
Evidence Based Eating (New Zealand)
Evidence Based Eating is a member based organisation with a mission to raise awareness of and promote the benefits of a Whole Food Plant-Based (WFPB) diet in New Zealand. They hold educational talks and provide advocacy of WFPB nutrition at events and to other organisations.
Farmacy’s flagship restaurant opened in Notting Hill in 2016. Its abundant menu is alive with truly delicious and healthy seasonal food, all served in a beautiful setting. Open for breakfast, lunch & dinner, Farmacy promotes plant-based organic eating and a chemical free approach, connecting everything between the soil and the sun. All ingredients are either grown on the farm, or sourced from local, sustainable and environmentally conscious suppliers. The restaurant is a true supporter of local farming, and champions biodynamic sustainability, aligning with The Biodynamic Association and Demeter certified growers and farmers.
Plant-based filmmaker and music producer Jay Cox rediscovered his lust for life after a cancer diagnosis. After a tough fight and with the disease in remission, he didn’t need any more reminders how short life really is, or any more encouragement to follow his passion. He changed his diet, became totally plant-based and, with new-found energy, got back on his mountain bike. He also got his camera out again and began looking for places he could make a real difference. This reinvention of himself, his life and his purpose lead him by chance to Tarifa in Spain with endurance athlete Luke Tyburski as he embarked on an insane 2,000km solo triathlon in 12 days. The result was the Ultimate Triathlon documentary, and the revelation of Jay’s formidable natural talent.
Jay has teamed up with plant-based health professionals to help achieve their mission to promote evidence based nutrition education.

Green Seed is a platform supporting pregnancies and families wishing to pursue a vegan or plant-based diet. With evidence-led guidance, we aim to empower expecting-parents and parents, with the knowledge that will allow them to have: healthy pregnancies, healthy children, and a healthy life for themselves in the long term.
Green Seed has been created due to the lack of support and understanding in this area. Many people are facing negativity from family, friends and healthcare professionals in relation to their plant-based diet, especially when it comes to growing and raising children.
With our actions, we intend to impact the current health and environmental crises that we face, and contribute to creating a better world for today, and for tomorrow.
The Hayek Hospital
Hayek Hospital is a private institution established by Dr. Selim Hayek, whose aim was to serve Beirut’s periphery and provide patients with Quality healthcare. It is located in the region of Sin-El-Fil, which is known for its calm and peaceful atmosphere.
Through the years, the hospital dedicated itself to applying international norms for its establishment. A long ongoing quality improvement plan was implemented which allowed its activities to meet the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008 and the Ministry of Public Health Accreditation.
Since the beginning of March 2021, Hayek Hospital has gone 100% vegan in a world’s first. The hospital will no longer serve its patients meat and dairy, and will instead replace its menu with a number of healthy plant-based dishes in alignment with existing scientific data evidencing the wide range of health benefits associated with a plant-forward diet.

The Health Habit is a plant-based husband & wife team of nutrition coach, and chef, food writer & presenter. Their simple mission is to ease the path into a more plant-based way of living. Between them they create and share amazing recipes, teach people how to cook, and coach anyone looking to move to a plant-based diet. They advise food businesses on creating & implementing plant-based recipes, as well as offering a full nutritional analysis service.
Henry & Henry
Henry & Henry is a partnership providing plant-based nutrition education, information and resources to support and inspire people to successfully transition to a whole food plant-based way of eating. As a result of resolving their own diverse health challenges through diet changes, leading them ultimately to a whole food plant based diet, Annette and Graham Henry know first hand the concerns that arise when making such changes: concerns about dietary deficiencies, coping with probing and sometimes unsupportive questions from others, as well as practical questions about how to make a new diet work.They have both trained as whole food plant based nutrition educators under the tutelage of two of America’s leading exponents in the field, Drs Rick and Karin Dina. Subscribers to their online hub can access a number of resources and also sign up for direct consultations with Annette and Graham on any matter relating to becoming more plant-based, becoming fully plant-based or improving the quality of an already established plant based or vegan diet as a means of making it healthier and thus more sustainable. Their overarching aim is to generate a conversation about plant-based nutrition in a safe and supportive environment as a way of contributing to the creation of a plant-based world.

Shamiz Kachwalla (Co-founder of High Carb Health) suffered from severe Ulcerative Colitis in 2012 and was told he would be on medications for life. We then found out how a plant-based diet can help with the healing of Ulcerative Colitis and implemented it as soon as possible. Shamiz has not taken a single pill since he was released from the hospital and all his symptoms are now history.

Made In Hackney
Made In Hackney is London’s original plant-based community cookery school. Since 2012 they’ve collaborated with over 100,000 people by inspiring them to cook and eat more plants. Their cookery school offers in person and online food education classes in healthy, culturally diverse, planet-friendly food. They are humbled and delighted to work across the capital with groups most in need such as young carers, people with long term health challenges, BAME groups and low income families. They are proud to have been the first 100% plant-based organisation to work with Public Health, within the NHS and also in schools and nurseries settings – helping to shift hearts, minds and stomachs to accept, appreciate and normalise the benefits of a plant-based diet. Planetary Health Alliance
The mission of the Planetary Health Alliance (PHA) is to promote, mobilize, and lead an inclusive, transdisciplinary field of planetary health and its diverse science, stories, solutions, and communities to achieve the Great Transition, a comprehensive shift in how human beings interact with each other and Nature. Launched in 2016, the PHA is now a highly effective coalition of 250+ member institutions from 50+ countries – supported by a small staff team based at Harvard University; a Steering Committee of international experts; ten PHA Regional Hubs; global fellows, volunteers, and ambassadors; and thousands of individual supporters – all committed to understanding and addressing the human health impacts of global environmental change, or planetary health.
The PlantEurope Network by NAHhaft e.V. brings actors from all over Europe together, offers most recent practical and scientific information, best-practices and political recommendations as well as organizes networking events for discussion and fruitful exchange.
The immediate goal of the PlantEurope project is the connection of pioneers and flagship projects, start-ups, organizations, associations, scientists and stakeholders within the gastronomy and communal catering sector. By creating and expanding this European network, alongside other measures taken, the ultimate goal of changing the food system to one rooted in a plant-based diet is to be accelerated.
The network offers amongst others the PlantEurope website for knowledge transfer, the online community for exchange as well as panel discussions and numerous smaller events for networking!

The Vegan Organic Network is the only organisation in the UK solely working for food to be grown the veganic way.
What is veganic?
‘Veganic’ is a combination of two words ‘vegan’ and ‘organic’. It’s a guarantee that food is grown in an organic way with only plant-based fertilizers, encouraging functional biodiversity so pesticides are not necessary. No chemicals, no GMO and no animal by products in any part of the chain.
Veganic food is resilient to the largest problems facing humanity i.e. environmental destruction, pollution of the sea and air and soil erosion.
Veganic otherwise we are dependent on animal agriculture, chemicals, pesticides and herbicides.
In essence, veganic is a logical step beyond organic for those who seek safe food grown in a sustainable manner.
