Get ready for Istanbul VegFest 2021!

Taking place online on July 3rd – 4th 2021

Plant Based Health Professionals UK is a proud partner of Istanbul VegFest 2021. Our very own Dr. Shireen Kassam will be presenting a session entitled: “How Health Professionals Can Support the Vegan Movement”.

With local and international representation, the programme includes a total of 9 panels, 52 speakers, 3 workshops and 15 organization partners. Renowned local and foreign doctors, lawyers, academics, athletes, and activists are set to deliver thought provoking sessions.

Of course, there will be mouth-watering Turkish vegan cooking demos as well as a screening of the award-winning film “73 Cows”. Kip Anderson, the producer of What the Health, will also be in attendance, speaking about his newest film Seaspiracy.

All sessions will be offered simultaneously in English and Turkish.

Striving to reach vegans and non-vegans with its “invitation to veganism” concept and #GiveLifeAChance slogan, the festival aims to create social awareness on veganism with regards to animal rights and ethics, environment, health, and sustainability.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the festival was hosted online for the first time in June 2020, and for the same reason will still be online in 2021.

With the objective of covering a variety of themes and bringing participants together with a collective purpose, the festival hosts national and international guests in workshops, panels and documentary screenings that reveal our relationship with animals. Since the inception of this festival in Turkey, it has attracted a lot of attention both from vegans and from those who are vegan curious.
