The participant will learn how to plan a nutritionally balanced plant-based diet for infants & young children under the age of five with emphasis on priority nutrients for this age group & supplements that may be recommended. The presentation will also include practical examples of how to provide these priority nutrients as well as strategies for managing common nutrition challenges faced by carers of toddlers.

About the speaker
Paula Hallam is a registered children’s dietitian, mum to two girls and recently published her first book ‘Plant Powered Little People’, available from her website, Amazon and Waterstones. Paula has been a dietitian for 24 years and has worked in the NHS for 18 years, including the world-famous Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children as well as in the private sector, food allergy research, and providing nutrition consultancy to charities, food brands and childcare facilities. Paula is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, a member of the BDA and PBHP UK. She is a committee member of the Sustainable Diets Group of the BDA.
