Dr Alicja Baczynska is a Specialist Registrar in Geriatric Medicine working in Wessex Deanery in the South of England. She completed her medical undergraduate training in Gdansk, Poland in 2005 and has lived in the UK since. She has been an NHS doctor for 13 years. She received a MPhil degree from the University of Southampton in 2018.
Dr Baczynska developed an interest in plant-based nutrition in 2015. She completed the Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and eCornell in 2019. She has contributed lectures on dementia and frailty to Dr Kassam’s nutrition course at the University of Winchester.
In 2019, she became a Board-Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician. The focus of her future work will be on prevention and root-cause treatment of cognitive and physical frailty, introduction of lifestyle medicine into hospital clinical practice as well as raising awareness of the power of plant-based nutrition.
