Time for our first 2021 Members’ Cooking Social! We will be taught WFPB Portuguese dishes by Marcia Soares, PBHP Member and Founder of Plant-Based Portuguese.
SPACES ARE LIMITED AND ONLY FOR PBHP MEMBERS. Allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The dishes are whole foods plant-based (oil free and gluten free options).
We will be cooking along together but ingredients should ideally be prepped ahead of time.
Our meal will consist of the following dishes, which are plant-based versions of traditional Portuguese dishes by Marcia:
- Black Bean Pudding Balls – plant-based “Morcela”
- Jackfruit with soya cream – “Jacklhau and soytas”
- Creamy Custard – “Leite creme”
The equipment and ingredients are very straightforward and easy to find in UK supermarkets.
WE WILL SEND ACROSS ALL THESE DETAILS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF YOUR REGISTRATION.

Marcia has been plant-based for six years and created ‘Plant_based_portuguese’ in 2019, as a result of her passion for plant based eating, cooking, nutrition and lifestyle – inspired by her Portuguese roots. Marcia is a research physiologist in the Respiratory field and has completed a PhD in health sciences. She lives in Leicester with her plant based husband and son Rafael, who was born in 2019, after a 100% vegan pregnancy.
