Good for:

Breakfast

Time:

15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 45g porridge oats
  • 250ml plant milk
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 2 satsumas, peeled
  • 1 tsp cacao nibs or dark chocolate chips

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Place the porridge oats and plant based milk into a small saucepan, cover and bring to the boil.

Step 2

Once the porridge has come to the boil, turn the heat down to a medium. At this point add in the cacao powder and stir to combine.

Step 3

Let simmer for approximately 10 minutes until the porridge has become thick and creamy.

Step 4

Meanwhile, peel the satsumas and put to one side.

Step 5

Remove the porridge from the heat and pour into a bowl.

Step 6

Top with the satsumas and cacao nibs/dark chocolate chips.

Notes

Cacao is the more nutritious, less processed form of cocoa powder and contains many minerals and antioxidants. If you do not have any cacao, sub with regular unsweetened cocoa powder.
