Allied Health Professionals
Gemma Davies, BA, MA (Dist), MBACP, Certificate in Plant Based Nutrition
Integrative Psychotherapist, Psychotherapy Plus
(Harley St, Kew Gardens and Online)
Gemma takes the ‘integrative’ aspect of psychotherapy to its limit. In her early thirties, she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and had, what you might call, a depressive disposition. Her personal experience of permanently reversing both conditions through nutrition fuelled her passion and deep understanding of how an optimal diet contributes to both physical and psychological health.
She therefore combines her more traditional counselling approaches (CBT, Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and beyond) with a formal training in evidence-based nutrition. Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy sessions are also available for a range of presenting issues including facilitating the transition to a plant-based way of eating.
Therapy takes place one to one or in couples via various online mediums; socially distanced walk and talk (Richmond Riverside); or, as a four-hour invigorating kick-start in beautiful Kew Gardens.
A complimentary, remote consultation allows potential clients to explore how her blended therapeutic practice could support them in their recovery.

Psychologist, fitness specialist
I am a psychologist working as a lifestyle counselor. I am also qualified and experienced in high performance sports as well as personal training, and certified in plant based nutrition. My current work is the product of what has to be the most valuable lesson that my professional experience has given me: Context is crucial.
In order to reach my full potential in helping others, I had to acknowledge that mental health, exercise, nutrition and relationship with food, sleep, self-image, self-esteem and confidence, identity, professional life, interpersonal relationships… simply don’t work in a vacuum. So, why would I?
My scholar self is on a research journey on cognitive processes. My professional self is devoted to improving people’s quality of life through an integrated approach. Our contextual, psychological and physical circumstances perpetually influence one another. A skilled analysis of the whole picture has proven to lead to quicker and, most importantly, longer-lasting results.
My approach is always evidence-based and superstition-free.

Vanessa Sturman, Plant Based Health Coach

Focusing on easy, incremental changes, delicious food and a sustainable plan built around you. No dieting, no fads! And I’m fun to work with 🙂
My 1:1 clients get results such as weight management without ever dieting again, reduced inflammation, great energy, great gut health, clear skin, hormone balance, reduction in joint pain and bloating, and much more (see some testimonials here).
My approach is always bespoke and incremental to ensure it fits in with your life, personal goals and food preferences. I’m very much about the practical implementation of a truly healthy lifestyle (and enjoying treats) – you can know all the science, but if it doesn’t fit in with your life, budget and taste in a sustainable way, you won’t get the benefits.
I have an array of 1:1 clients, plus corporate clients including Cambridge University and Michigan State University. I’m also a regular on BBC Radio, and have been featured on Sky News, LBC and Times Radio.
I’m excited to hear from you!

Melanie Jopling BSc(Hons), PGDip
Based in Ackworth, Yorkshire
I am a registered Nutritional Therapist (CNHC) and Nutritionist (MBANT).
As an online Nutritional Therapist, I work with clients throughout the country to support them with an array of health concerns ranging from perimenopause and hormonal health to anxiety, auto-immune conditions, gut symptoms and more.
I follow a whole-foods plant-based (WFPB) diet to support my own health. If you are looking to move towards a plant-based diet but are not sure where to start or what you need to include, I can support your journey.
We all have different genetic make-up, react differently to the foods we eat, and make different lifestyle choices: there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Nutritional therapy takes account of the connections between all our body systems, from our hormones to our digestion and immune responses. It is about supporting the correction of the imbalances causing ill-health, rather than simply managing symptoms. Fully qualified in personalised evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine, I believe in giving you the tools you need, empowering you to make positive and lasting changes to your health.
Be Perfectly Nourished!
I’m Lina, a registered nutritionist and passionate about bringing people back to optimal health, or helping them to stay on the rooftop of health. I use the power of whole foods- especially fruits and vegetables and the synergy between them. I also use a few other natural remedies, which all work to bring the body back to homeostasis.
Having grown up in Cyprus surrounded by fields and our own garden full of produce, I’m also passionate about the quality of fruits, veggies, herbs, grown as locally as possible.
This aeroponic tower helps people to grow their own produce (up to 32 plants) from home, within their own lounge/kitchen/conservatory, all year round. It requires much less water than conventional gardening methods or hydroponic growing (up to 98% less water), the crops grow 3x faster and are also 70% more nutrient-dense.
This is the link for you to have a look. https://linakumar.juiceplus.com/gb/en/tower-garden
I also feel very passionate about the whole-food concentrates you will see there, so If you would like more info, let’s have a casual chat.

As a Nutritional Therapist I will work closely with you, usually on an individual basis, to conduct a holistic assessment of nutritional requirements. I will listen to your symptoms and health concerns. I will use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand nutritional factors affecting your health. I will then put an individual programme for diet and supplementation together for you. I will help you to understand how these changes might contribute to symptomatic relief and optimised health. In this way, I will empower you to support your overall health and wellbeing through nourishing the body and mind for a more balanced state through applied nutrition.
I am a registered yoga teacher offering 1-2-1 movement support as part of your wellness journey should you wish to take advantage of that alongside your health plan.
I have completed the Zest4Life, health coaching skills course, to help you stay on track with your health goals during your plan. I look to work with anyone wishing to improve their wellbeing. However, I have listed
key areas below if you’re looking for help with specific concerns.
– Supporting Healthy ageing
_ Supporting Autoimmune disorders
– Supporting cancer prevention and for support prior, during and post treatment.
(Please note that nutritional therapy is not designed to diagnose, treat or cure any disease, including cancer. Nutritional therapy is about supporting the body’s resilience and whole person wellbeing, and we always aim to work collaboratively with your medical experts and oncology services).
