About the speaker

Beth has been a registered dietitian for 14 years and is currently working for the NHS with outpatients at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. Beth has been vegan since 2008 and also works as a freelance dietitian specialising in plant-based diets. Her clients include Vegetarian for Life, a UK charity working on behalf of older vegetarians and vegans. In 2018 she reviewed and updated their ‘Nutrition for older vegetarians and vegans’ guide which has been endorsed by the British Dietetic Association (BDA). She has also helped produce the BDA’s ‘Vegetarian, vegan and plant-based diet: Food Fact Sheet’. Beth is a committee member of the BDA’s Sustainable Diets specialist group and also has a Masters in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
