This presentation focuses on helping people lose weight on a plant-based diet which helps reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease as well as improving gut health. There is a strong focus on well-being and the importance of sleep, hydration, movement will be discussed. This will improve both mental and physical health.

About the speaker

Soraya graduated as a registered dietitian in 2011 and has extensive experience in adult acute and community settings in the NHS. Over the past 10 years she has worked within diabetes, neuro-rehabilitation, oncology, gastroenterology, care homes and specialist weight management services.

She currently works in the NHS Tier 3 adult weight management service as well as running her own private practice. Soraya’s practice specialises in helping people lose weight on a plant predominant diet. She takes a holistic personal approach to help her clients lose weight with 12 week 1-1 programmes which also focuses on improving their relationship with food.

Soraya is passionate about helping people transition to a PBD and has raised her 4 year old child on a vegan diet.
